The ordinance of baptism by immersion in water as a burial with Christ should be observed as commanded in the Scriptures by all who have really repented and in their hearts have truly accepted Christ as their Savior and Lord. By doing this, they have accepted washing the body in water as a symbol of inner purification. Thus they declare to the world that they have died with Jesus and also have been washed and resurrected with him to walk in a new life (Matthew 28:19, Acts 10:47, Romans 6: 4).
